Hi! I'm Aufstin Filiko — a Full Stack & Blockchain Developer, Web3 Engineer, and Automation Enthusiast based in San Francisco, CA.
I’ve always been drawn to solving complex problems with elegant, efficient code. Over the years, I’ve built everything from scalable web apps to decentralized finance (DeFi) systems, using tools like Python, C++, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Next.js, and FastAPI.
My journey has taken me through a wide range of industries — from education and agriculture to cutting-edge research — where I’ve deployed high-performance systems in the cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. I also love diving into blockchain, with hands-on experience developing on both Ethereum and Solana.
More recently, I've been focused on automating workflows, optimizing system performance, and pushing the limits of what’s possible with scalable, sustainable tech.

Developed an automated PDF processing system using Python to generate and analyze student driving logs, streamlining administrative workflows.

Built supporting utilities in C++ for high-performance data preprocessing and batch operations, improving runtime efficiency on large datasets.

Developed a full-stack web-based Kichwa-Spanish translator application to promote indigenous language education and cultural preservation.

Built a responsive frontend using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for a modern and intuitive user experience.

Designed and managed PostgreSQL databases for structured storage of vocabulary, grammar rules, and user interaction data.

‣
Designed a Flask based application that runs on Raspberry Pi devices to integrate imaging stations into Ignition SCADA for remote data capture of microbial and insect assays.
‣
Developed and tested Python scripts within the Ignition SCADA platform that leveraged RESTful APIs and Java-based dependencies to remotely monitor PLC systems and other electrical equipment.
‣
Collaborated with microbial screening and automation teams to create a robotic solution using a laser cutter that reduces variability in HTP(High-Throughput Screening) assays, projected to save Corteva $450,000 a year in lost runs, using robotics and automation technologies.

Built and deployed smart contracts on Ethereum and Solana using Solidity and Rust for DeFi use cases like staking, yield farming, and tokenized assets.
‣
Developed dApps with React, Next.js, and Redux; integrated wallet systems like MetaMask and Phantom for seamless user interaction with blockchain assets.
‣
Implemented and tested smart contract functionality with web3.js, ethers.js, solana/web3.js, Truffle, and Hardhat to ensure secure and reliable execution.

Worked on an algae-based water filtration project, building software tools to analyze DNA samples and support sustainable environmental research.

Developed full-stack applications using Flask, Django, React, and Redux; integrated PostgreSQL databases and secure authentication with JWT and OAuth for genomic data tracking.
‣
Processed metagenomic datasets with Python, Linux, and Benchling; deployed the platform with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable, real-time data visualization and system monitoring.
